We threw away our "American Dream" and started "Living for a living".
Along the path to self-sufficiency, we found out that many of you would like to have some of our products, or simply learn how we do what we do. Facebook, YouTube and now on this site, you can purchase or just learn how we go about living a more sustainable lifestyle on our farm and offer you some of our products and knowledge.
As a small family farm, we produce all of our own products that we not only sell to you, but these are main staples in our kitchen as well. We hope that you enjoy what we have to offer and hope that you keep coming back to our farm.
Our social media outlets allow us to teach you how to homestead on your farm and be more self-sufficient. Whether it's how to build the smoke house pictured above on our YouTube channel, or following our every day projects around the farm on Facebook, we're here to show you what we can.
We specialize in Kiko Meat Goats and will regularly have goats, both dams and bucks for sale. We try to maintain a herd that is performance-based, consisting of goats that are great mothers, have high parasite resistance, excellent growth and extremely low maintenance. We have and continue to select genetics that are from top performing breeders and regularly cull animals that don't meet our criteria.
Our preferred conformation is a deep and wide chest with plenty of room for forage and kids on a solid foundation. Front legs well under the body and back legs with as much muscle as possible. We are constantly trying to breed better goats and improve the breed as a whole. Whether you are looking for Commercial, Purebred or 100% New Zealand kikos, you should be happy with what we have to offer.
We have been guest speakers at the Arkansas Homesteading Conference (October 2019)
We have also been featured in the following magazines:
Engage (November 2020)
Life In Chenal (November 2020)
Goat Rancher (August 2022)
